BA'ATHIST RESISTANCE BANNED OF SPEECH !
WHY WE CALL TO THE BOYCOTT OF THE SO-CALLED "INTERNATIONAL
CONFERENCE ON SOLIDARITY WITH THE IRAQI PEOPLE IN STRUGGLE" !

The “Iraq Committees”, set up in Europe, Africa and Latin America, have supported Ba'athist Iraq for more than two years. And some of our executives have been engaged in this fight since the end of the Sixties.

Since the April 2003 disaster and the occupation of Iraq by the forces of the American-Zionist Axis, in connection with the Arab relays of Resistance, we placed ourselves without reserve at the sides of the Ba'athist Resistance which was organized  from the fall of Baghdad, whereas many thought the war lost.

This Ba'athist Resistance gathers the lively forces of the Iraqi fight of national liberation and in particular :

- The Ba'ath Socialist Arab Party of Iraq, in clandestinity 
- The “Resistance and Liberation” movement
- The “Unified Council of Iraqi Resistance” (UNCIR)
- many military forces like the “Feddayins of Saddam” or the “Second Army of Mahomet”

On the sidelines exist also patriotic formations like the “Communitarian Iraqi Party – Patriotic Front” (which gathers Nasserians, dissident Communists of the ICP – which collaborates with the Americans – and pro-Syrian Ba'athists) and which the “Iraq Committees” also support.

We thus, initially, followed with sympathy the call to the “International conference on Solidarity with the Iraqi People in Struggle” which is organized this May ‘15 in Paris.

But we quickly had to note that this conference, monopolized by a network of so-called Communist or trotskyst intellectuals, intended to refuse the right of speech to the Ba'athist Resistance, in particular to the “Iraq Committees”, and that its goals went against the objectives and the agenda of the Ba'athist Resistance (See the last two official statements of the clandestine Ba'ath Party : Read).

Let us add the presence among the speakers of declared adversaries of Ba'athism as Thierry Meyssan (whose Daily “Voltaire” develops each day unacceptable attacks against Ba'athist Iraq and President Saddam Hussein), of islamists or of red-brown intellectuals with provocative anti-semitism.

The liberation of Iraq and the expulsion of the American-Zionist occupants are a stage and not a goal. The goal, that of the Ba'athist Resistance, which embodies alone the true Iraqi patriotism, is the new establishment of the Iraqi State, unitarian, secular and socialist.

The opposition, real or of appearance, to the Americans of certain islamist forces stemming from the Shiite community – and which do not represent the whole of this one – should not make illusion. Bound to Teheran (which one knows, behind a purely verbal anti-Americanism, the links with Washington and Tel-Aviv), stemming from the forces which tried to stab in the back Ba'athist Iraq in 1991 at the end of the First Gulf War, these groups and in particular the militiamen of Sadr, described extremely precisely as “traitors” and as “agents of the enemy” by our ba'athist comrades (See Statement from May 04, 2004) are they also the party from abroad.

We thus invite the true friends of Iraq to boycott the conference of this 15 May in Paris and the puppet organizations which it intends to organize there. 

The support to the Iraqi Resistance and the liberation of Iraq is the support to the clandestine Ba ath Party and the “Resistance and Liberation” movement and to them only !

Long live Iraq free and defeated be the occupation !
Long live the heroic Iraqi Armed Resistance !
Long live the Arab Ba’ath Socialist Party and its followers !
Long live Comrade Secretary-General Saddam Hussein the militant, the resistant and defiant in the Occupation jails !
Long live Palestine free, Arab and dignified !
